Home in Home

'Home in Home' is a community art project led by Yeonjoo Cho from September 2024 to February 2025. It unpacked what home means to various Glasgow-based artists with different social and cultural backgrounds. By co-organising and participating in a series of creative workshops since last September 2024, 11 local artists - all women from different parts of the world, including South Korea, Colombia, Greece, Iran, Ukraine, Vietnam, Pakistan, and the UK - gathered and shared thoughts and experiences of making their own place called home. The series of workshops questioned and reflected on themes of belonging, home, and individual histories through various artistic activities. As a result of those workshops, the following exhibition presented the process and outcomes of ongoing conversations about what home means or should mean to us.
