Home in Home

'Home in Home' is a community art project conducted from September 2024 to February 2025. It was a process that asked what home means to various Glasgow-based artists with different social and cultural backgrounds. Eleven women from different parts of the world, including South Korea, Colombia, Greece, Iran, Ukraine, Vietnam, Pakistan, and the UK, gathered and shared thoughts and experiences of making their own place called home. The series of workshops on drawing, writing, and printmaking explored themes of belonging, home, and individual histories through a range of artistic activities. The exhibition at the Transmission Gallery (2025), which was an outcome of the project, presented the process and outcomes of ongoing conversations about what home means or should mean to us.

'홈 인 홈(Home in Home)은 2024년 9월부터 2025년 2월까지 진행된 커뮤니티 아트 프로젝트다. 이 프로젝트는 다양한 사회적, 문화적 배경을 가진 글라스고 지역의 아마추어 예술가들에게 있어 '집'이란 무엇을 의미하는지 질문하는 과정이었다. 2024년 9월부터 시작된 일련의 창작 워크숍을 통해 한국, 콜롬비아, 그리스, 이란, 우크라이나, 베트남, 파키스탄, 영국 등 세계 각지에서 온 11 명의 여성들이 모여, 자신만의 '집'을 만들어가는 과정과 경험을 공유했다. 드로잉과 글쓰기, 판화 제작을 내용으로 하는 워크숍에서는 다양한 예술 활동을 통해 소속감, 집, 그리고 개인의 역사라는 주제를 탐구했다. 트랜스미션 갤러리(2025)에서 개최되는 전시는 이 프로젝트의 결과물로, '집'이란 무엇인지, 또는 무엇을 의미해야 하는지에 대한 지속적인 대화의 과정과 그 결과물을 보여준다.
